Adobe Summit - Know Before you Go - Tips for Newbies!
It's comming!!!
As we get closer to Adobe Summit, I know many first-timers are feeling a mix of excitement and "where do I even start?" After attending 4 Summits, I’ve learned that the secret to a successful event isn't just about the sessions you attend—it’s about how you manage your time and the connections.
I wanted to share my top tips to help you navigate your first Summit like a pro. Here is your "Know Before You Go" cheat sheet:
Beat the Lines: Sunday is Registration Day!
Don't wait until Monday morning to get your credentials. The lines can be massive, and you don’t want to miss the opening because you were stuck at the registration desk.
• Special Tip: Pick up your badge on Sunday. It’s much faster, and it allows you to start your Monday morning stress-free and ready to dive straight into the action.
Curate Your Learning Path Early
Don’t wait until you arrive to look at the catalog. Log in now and start scheduling your sessions.
• Use the platform filters to search for specific products or skill levels to create a cohesive "track." If you’re focused on RTCDP or Journey Optimizer, try to group those sessions so your brain stays in that specific workflow.
Early Bird Gets the Keynote Seat
The Keynotes are huge. If you want a good seat (or any seat at all), arrive early. These sessions set the tone for the entire event, and the energy in the room is something you don't want to experience from the very back or an overflow room.
The "White Space" Strategy
It’s tempting to book every hour of the day, but don't. Leave gaps in your schedule.
The real magic happens between sessions. The hallways are filled with Adobe product managers, technical engineers, and us Champions. If you have a specific pain point or a "how-to" question, find the Adobe booth or look for a Champion. We are there to help! Use the access you have to these experts—one 15-minute hallway conversation can often solve a problem you’ve been struggling with for months.
Step Out of Your Comfort Zone
It’s easy to stick with the coworkers you came with, but the value of Summit is the global community. Make a point to sit next to strangers during lunch or introduce yourself at the mixers. The exchange of knowledge between different industries is eye-opening. You’ll find that someone across the world has already solved the exact problem you’re facing.
Save Room for Swag (The Last Day Secret)
If you love collecting "swag," keep this in mind: the last day is the best day. Vendors often prefer giving away their remaining stock rather than shipping it back.
• Travel Tip: Leave some extra space in your suitcase when you’re packing. You’ll thank me when you’re trying to fit three new t-shirts and gadgets into your luggage on Thursday!
💪🏻 I’m looking forward to seeing everyone there. If you see me around, please come say hi—I’d love to hear about what you’re working on!
What are you most excited about for this year's Summit?
