filtering leads based on type of customer

Hi,

We have two types of prospects: Our regular prospects, and prospects coming from a new initiative (website) which tries to get prospects to use a Free version of our product. We would like to nurture these last type of prospects. How can I filter a triggered campaign to only trigger based on that type of leads?

The leads can enter the db through a form on the website for that initiative but they can also be entered manually or imported with a csv.

I was thinking of setting a custom field in a lead but this doesnt work for us as we still have the Spark version of marketo at this point. There must be another way to do this?

Thanks

Are you identifying them as leads from a form or in a Program?

Do you have existing lead source or other fields that mark these folks? An SFDC Campaign?

It might be worth having a special field or flag to identify the leads if they are coming in from non form areas. Not sure why you mention Spark here. You should be able to add a field to SFDC or Marketo to do this.
