Add Channel and tag constraints to "member of program" and other program related filters / Triggers

When using the "member of program" constraint, it may be very useful and powerful to be able to select all members of webinars or members of "gated content" programs. Typical usage would be selecting all leads who are successes in webinar and put them in a nurturing program.

And yet, the appropriate constraint does not exist.

Please add it.

My 2 cents,

Greg

Hey Greg,

Way I usually get around this is if you use the program status constraint filter and add all the progression steps of a channel, you will effectively get anyone who is a member of a program from that channel.  Your idea is certainly a bit more streamlined though.

Good point.

Another way to do it is to use strict naming rules for program, that includes a 3 letter acronym for each channel. E.g:

  • Gated Content -> -GTC-
  • Webinar -> -WBR-

And the same for other relevant tags.

So, in order to select only webinars, we just use Program contains -WBR- constraints.

I wanted to add that the use of tags in the Smart List criteria allow for grouping at scale that is not dependent on naming conventions, For example: "Give me all attendees of Events where Ana is the presenter" or give me all those whose status is Gated Content -> Consumed content where the Pain Point tag is Data Quality", while you can indeed use status changes to identify people from specific channels, tags allow for only certain programs without having to enumerate them or being extremely reliable on naming convention.
